WORKSHOP - Nature in Colour Pencil with Jane Siddall - Sunday 16th August
Sunday 16th August, 1-4 pm
Max 6 participants
Ages 16+
Among the Sparrows, 201 North Road, North East Valley.
In this course you will learn how to create rich and colourful pencil drawings.
You will learn various techniques to the laying down of colourful pencil on paper. How to blend colours together and how to create texture, pattern and a sense of three dimensionality.
We will also have a look at various colour pencils on the market and discuss quality, price and availability.
In today's class we will be concentrating on creating a coloured pencil butterfly drawing. Butterflies are a wonder of nature. Their bodies, wings and antenna offer us the chance to create lots of different textures, whilst allowing us to indulge in wonderful colour.
We will also consider composition in your future drawings. Do you wish to create a natural setting? A decorative design or a more scientific approach.
You will be provided with everything required for the class. However, you are welcome to bring along your own colour pencils if you wish.
