Taster Class. Especially for Beginners!
This small, in-person workshop is an introduction to the world of ink. We cover questions like:
Why are some inks waterproof and some not?
What’s a pigmented ink?
What are ink sticks?
How many different black inks can there possibly be?
We’ll go over what inks are made of, the development and history of ink-making around the world, and what different inks are designed to do.
You’ll have plenty of time to play with a wide variety of ink, to understand the different characteristics and test inks on a range of papers.
Please note, we don’t make inks in this class, but use an interesting variety of inks from around the world.
