WORKSHOP - Introduction to tetra pak printing with Kyla Cresswell, 12th October
Introduction to tetra pak printmaking
Sunday, 12th October 2025
1 -4 pm
201 North Road, North East Valley, Dunedin
3 hour workshop
Drypoint etching on tetra pak
You can bring your own images - but don’t have to. Image size (100 x 150mm max)
Low toxic inks - not smelly!
All materials supplied
We will be working with soy based etching inks on recycled tetra pak plate to produce drypoints on a small etching press. This is a magical way to turn your recycling into something beautiful.
The etching press is small, the plates we are making the image on are 100 x 150mm. However this will mean you can likely make more than one image. It is all about experimenting and learning, so really don’t feel like you need to come with anything other than curiosity!
If you wish to bring some imagery to work from you are welcome to, but it is not necessary, I’ll have some images you can use. All the supplies you need on hand––drypoint scribes, roulettes and other tools as well as ink, paper, tetra pak, gloves and aprons.
I look forward to meeting you all!
